VeTransition will be held Thursday August 25th from 1:30 pm to 3:45 pm in the VetZone in Squires Student Center
VeTransition will provide you with information about the programs and services available to help make a smooth transition from the military to campus and civilian life, and to increase your understanding of the higher education system, including VA educational benefits. Spouses, family members and friends are welcome to attend as well.
Why should you attend?
- Learn about the numerous university and community resources available to facilitate your transition to Virginia Tech and success in college. Representatives from the Office of Veterans Services, the Student Success Center, Student Advocacy, and the Virginia Department of Veterans Services will be in attendance.
- Meet current veteran and military students at Virginia Tech. Learn about becoming a member of Veterans@VT and the events the student organization has planned for fall semester. The university is committed to your academic and personal success. As a result of attending VeTransition we hope you will feel more connected with the campus and local community, more knowledgeable about your educational benefits and the services available to support your transition to and academic success at Virginia Tech, and well prepared and motivated to begin your new career as a Virginia Tech student.
