Jana Moser Moore is the Director of the Virginia Tech Office of Veteran Services. Jana is a military/veteran spouse (Army) of over 2 decades. An avid traveler even before military moves, she has traveled, studied, and/or worked in over 27 countries spanning 5 continents. Her professional background includes military education, academic and transfer advising, international education, policy work, and organizational management. She has a B.A. in International Studies and Foreign Languages from The University of Southern Mississippi and an M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education the University of Oklahoma. VT is a Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges school, a Military Friendly School: Gold and a Military Spouse Friendly School. Keenly aware of these global distinctions, Jana’s focus for OVS is to define what these recognitions mean for VT and VT’s military-connected community through intentional programming, events, support services, and advocacy for impactful results for students.
